Forsberg's Return Moving Along

Adrian Dater reported earlier today that veteran forward Peter Forsberg is set to sign with the Colorado Avalanche before the team leaves for Phoenix to start a 4 game road trip.

This pleases Peter.

Make the jump for some analysis.

The signing comes with the Avs 4 points behind the Los Angeles Kings, who hold the coveted 8th playoff spot, so the signing could serve as a spark for the team to work into that spot.

It will be interesting to see how Forsberg preforms at the NHL level seeing as he hasn't played since the 2007-2008 season, and only playing in 9 games in that season (producing 1 goal and 13 assists).

Given his veteran presence and the skill that the organization knows he possesses, it will be interesting to see if he is put on the first line right away, or if Forsberg will start on the second or third for a little bit of conditioning.

Regardless he's coming back.

No Peter, you can't bring your Crocs.
